“I think all artists make self-portraits all the time in a way, well at least I do, but even if you are a very abstract painter I think that says something about you. My work has always been a way for me to deal with my own thoughts but also my fears and my longings etc. At some point I discovered that I make the same pictures over and over again, or at least there are certain themes in my work which keep on reappearing.
